Program overview
The course focuses on the practical application of key provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act and the implementing regulations under the Bank Secrecy Act, with particular emphasis on nested accounts and correspondent banking risks. It is designed for U.S. financial institutions that offer correspondent banking services and for foreign financial institutions that maintain or seek U.S. correspondent relationships, helping U.S. banks improve their correspondent compliance programs and helping foreign banks better understand and meet the expectations of their correspondent counterparts.
Preparation
Before beginning the course, participants are expected to complete the assigned pre‑course reading list, which is estimated to require approximately 5–7 hours.
Format
This is an asynchronous online program. Participants have 60 days to complete all course requirements. Please note that if registration occurs after the official start date, the remaining time to complete the program will be less than 60 days.
Instructor
Ms. Fox has more than 30 years of international, domestic, and regulatory banking experience in private banking, credit, and international bank examinations. She is the founder of In Compliance We Trust Consulting, LLC (InCWeT), where she leads comprehensive BSA and AML compliance programs that include transaction monitoring, client risk‑rating methodologies, OFAC procedures, and KYC and EDD guidelines. She also delivers employee training, performs BSA and OFAC risk assessments, manages 314(a) processes and regulatory reporting, and oversees KYC/EDD remediation projects as well as GLBA and non‑deposit investment product suitability and risk management efforts.
